	M.\n \n\nAdmission is only $5.00 per person\, and includes your choice\n\
nof either an etched souvenir wine glass from Thistle Meadow\n\nWinery or
2 wine tasting plates* (see description below)\,\n\nwine tasting\, heavy h
ors d'oeuvres\, live music\, and local\n\nartisans showing off their handm
	ade crafts.\n \n\nIf you would like a souvenir wine glass AND a plate\, t
he\n\ncost is only $7.50.\n \n\nPlease call 800-233-1505 or email me (my
address is below)\n\nto register for this event\, to help ensure we have e
nough\n\nfood to go around.\n \n\nThe festivities will start with an opti
onal lunch buffet\n\nbeginning at 11 AM. The buffet costs $8.00 for adults
\,\n\n$7.00 for seniors and $3.00 for children under 8. Price\n\nincludes
tax and tip. The buffet will be served until 2 PM\n\n(or until gone) and
features grilled country ham\, grilled\n\nchicken breast\, and chopped po
rk BBQ along with 7 vegetables\n\ncooked the old fashioned way (slow and l
ow) to seal in all\n\nthe flavor. Add to that your dessert\, drink and bre
	ad...\n\nfor a wonderful rib-sticking meal. \n \n\nAfter that nice buffet
\, you can walk around and taste wines\n\nfrom other North Carolina wineri
	es\, including Weathervane\n\nWinery and Buck Shoals Vineyards.\n \n \n\
n *These rugged plates have a hole in one corner of the plate\,\n\n which
are designed to hold your wine glass. That way\, you\n\n can hold your pl
ate AND your glass with one hand - which is\n\n perfect for mingling with
and greeting other wine tasters!\n\n These plates are made of heavy clear
plastic and are safe\n\n for dishwashers.\n \n \n\nWe predict that Fall
will be in the air\, so bring a sweater\n\nalong just in case there is a c
hill in the air! The fall\n\nleaves will be turning at this point\, so a
bring a camera\n\nto shoot some colorful pictures of the festival.\n \n\n
Also invited to the festival are some home winemakers from\n\nour region b
ecause they always bring in a surprise or two!\n\nOne of our customers may
let you in on how to make your own\n\nchampagne. Bring your friends and
neighbors so they can\n\nsee and learn how to cork a bottle\, and how to u
ncork a\n\nbottle and avoid getting cork into your wine. We'll also be\n\
ndiscussing wine and food pairings\, how to make a sweet wine\n\nsour\, an
d a sour wine sweet! You'll also learn how to make\n\na bitter wine taste
	 better\, and how to make a sweet wine\n\ntaste dry!\n \n\nIf you're a ho
me winemaker and would like to show off your\n\nwines at the festival\, pl
ease give us a call to make the\n\nappropriate arrangements. A free lunch
for two and a $15\n\ngift certificate to grapestompers.com is in the offi
ng!\n \n\nExplore the tasting of wine with different wine glasses and\n\n
see for yourself how wine glasses themselves play a big part\n\nin the tas
ting and aroma of wine! \n \n\nPrizes will be awarded for the person who
has traveled the\n\nfarthest to attend the festival\, and the oldest home
\n\nwinemaker in the crowd. We'll even award prizes for the\n\noldest per
son attending our festival and the youngest bride-\n\nto-be. So plan to b

DESCRIPTION:\nThe date has been set for the 2005 Wine Fair! It will be
	Sunday\, March 6\, 2005. \n \n\nEach year the Missouri Winemaking Societ
y (MWS) Wine Fair committee strives to improve our annual wine competition
. This year we have made significant changes in the entry classifications
. In the past\, we have expanded generic classifications based on entrie
s in order to compete varietals head-to-head. This year we have taken the
opposite approach by defining specific varietal categories which may be c
ombined or eliminated based on this year’s entries at the discretion of
the wine fair committee. This year participants will see that there are
two new Sections. The previous “Table Wine” Section has been split
into “Dry” and “Off-Dry” wines. We have also made some minor chan
ges to award categories and added a special award for MWS members in honor
of the late Charlie Franke. The following page contains a one page summa
ry of deadlines and entry information\, but please read the remainder of t
he document since it has changed significantly from last year.\n \n \n
	\n\nQuick Reference\n \n\nFair is Sunday\, March 6\, 2005\; judging begin
s at Noon\n \n\nEntries are $8 each ($6 for MWS members)\, no limit on nu
mber of entries. Max. 2 categories for the same wine.\n \n\nLabel compet
ition is $1.00 per label (one free entry into label competition when you e
	nter 3or more wines)\n \n\nDeadlines:\n \n\nDeadline for entry form/fee:
February 7\, 2005\n \n\nDeadline for shipped entries: Arrive by

gust 19th from between 6pm (CST) to ??. I have 60 gallons total of vari
ous varieties. We'll have 300 bottles to fill.\n \n\nWe'll be using the
new Vigneron #4 bottle filler with the Argon gas purge system that I just
got. From my understanding\, it should take me just 20 seconds to fill
4 bottles. I hope you can find time to check out the action. We're ex
pecting a lot of viewers\, so it may take some time to get the video to lo
ad. It is all FREE for the viewer. Don't forget to check out the large
