Logic is a leading
manufacturer of winemaking chemicals.
Straight A and One Step have been my choice of cleansers and can be
found in almost all wine making supply
stores.
I use and recommend two products by
"Logic". The first is for initial cleaning of
dirty carboys, bottles, removing labels, etc. It is called
"Straight A". This is really good when you
get a case or two of used bottles from a local winery which have not
been completely cleaned. This will remove any sediment along
with your bottle brush. The second cleaning
product is called "One Step". I use this on
everything right before I begin to work with my wine. I rinse
the cleaned carboys out with it, my equipment and my
bottles. They're easy to use, just add one tablespoon of
which ever you're using to one gallon of warm water and stir to
dissolve. See below for more information.

Straight A:
 | Alkalinity - Neutralizes and dissolves acidic
soils and materials.

| Wetting - Helps water penetrate and lift
materials off surfaces.

| Detergency - Provides cleaning power to reduce
soaking and scrubbing time. |
| Oxygen - Eliminates impurities to insure that
your wine doesn't sour. |
| Non-Corrosive - Actually protects metal from
corrosion. |
| Environmentally Sound - Contains no phosphates
and readily biodegrades to naturally occurring substances. |
| Usage Requirements - One tablespoon per gallon
of warm water. |
One Step:
| Oxygen - High oxygen level provided through a
dry form of hydrogen peroxide minimizes contact time necessary
for One Step to cleanse.

| No Rinsing - Minimizes the risk of
contamination by keeping in contact with the clean surface |
| Aeration - Since there is no rinsing, the
supplied oxygen gives the yeast the initial boost. |
| Non-Staining - Unlike other no-rinse cleansers,
One Step won't stain skin, clothing or surfaces. |
| Cleansing - Provides good detergency for light
duty cleaning. |
| Non-Toxic - Not harmful to the user in any way,
either directly or indirectly. |
| Environmentally Sound - Contains no
ecologically harmful substances and quickly biodegrades in to
natural occurring substances. |
| Usage Requirements - One tablespoon per gallon
of warm water. |
