Not in VA anymore, but it's nice to hear the familiar names of where my friends all came from and went to after college.

I went to college in Fredericksburg, Mary Washington College (now University of Mary Wash)..... Went back for the first time in 13 years this summer. It was orientation weekend there.

I was asked if I was a parent. sad.gif

But then I was carded that night. luxhello.gif

Mary Washington is a great small University, I had some friends go there. I heard that it is not uncommon to hear bag pipes when you walk around campus! Historic Fredericksburg is also very nice. I've been to the MW Hospital when I almost got my finger sliced off but ended up only needing a few stitches haha smileytoast.gif

What a small world!
I still live in Fredericksburg, and I also graduated from Mary Washington, course it was back in 1982 smile.gif
Very different back then. The ratio of girls to guys was 11 to 1 when I attented, but I never was one to complain tongue.gif
Met my wife of 20 years there to boot!

Small world, I live just up the road off of Route 1 in Stafford wave.gif (near the courthouse). I always seem to see the Mary Washington girls athletes running up the hill on Route 1 while I sit waiting for the light after pickingup beer and wine supplies from Roxbury Farms down in Fredricksburg. I haven't done any grape based wine yet (at least nothing worth mentioning), but I was going to buy a couple cans of Alexander's Grape Concentrate (Cabernet Savingnon) as my first attempt at a grape based red wine. I see from your signature that you make wine with Welch's concentrates- ever tried a batch using the Alexander's? Is it any better/worse than a simple kit in your opinion?

v/r,
Steve

Anyone or any clubs in the Virginia Beach area?
I'm a fairly rank amateur and would benefit from wxposurre to people who kow what they are doing!

Howdy! I am new to VA (lived in NJ all my life) but now live in Staunton. What kind of wine did you put together in July?
A little nonsense, now and then, is relished by the wisest men.
