The Missouri Winemaking Society meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the The Assumption Greek Church, 1755 Des Peres Rd., Saint Louis, MO 63131-1405. Meetings start with officer and committee reports. A program follows dealing with some aspect of winemaking or grape growing. The speaker is usually a club member or a winemaker from a commercial winery. After the program, homemade or commercial wines are tasted and critiqued. Wine and winemaking procedures are discussed to better understand the process and its impact on a finished wine.
The Missouri Winemaking Society also holds social events throughout the year. Events have included grape stomps, apple grinding parties, grapevine pruning demonstrations, field trips to commercial wineries or vineyards, and an annual Holiday Party with a wine exchange.
Meetings are the third Thursday of each month
