Has anyone ever used these guys? I am thinking I need a neutral 30 gallon barrel to move my wine into since it's reaching my limit on how much oak I like. I currently have it in a recoopered (first use) 30 gallon French Oak barrel. I want to keep it in a barrel for as long as I can before bottling to help further soften the wine and add complexity without taking on any more oak influence.

I found this listing on Winebusiness: http://www.winebusin...listingid=64787

I have been emailing back and forth with them and they seem legitimate but since I wasn't able to find info about them online, if anyone here has used them? Also, does $189 for a neutral 30 gallon barrel seem reasonable?

Thanks

Wow, I think that sounds pretty pricy. I just bought a 225 liter once used FO barrel for $185. But, I think your challenge will be the size. 60 gallon barrels seem to be the staple of most wineries.

2012 Petite Sirah(Sonoma), Syrah (Sonoma) and Zinfandel (Amador), oh and a small batch of Viognier
2013 Time to plan... Syrah and Pinot Noir at least!
