YIKES! The instructions say the room temp must be 68 degrees for calibration. MT-032ATC Valley Vintner Hand Refractometer. There is no way we can crank the AC down to that. It's currently 77 degrees, and we've got the AC set on 67, hoping to get it that low.
Can we calibrate it in our wine cooler? That is 68 degrees.
This is important now because we have grapes raisining out there in 104-107 heat. They are very sweet, but since we have the refractometer, we'd like to use it to measure brix.
Thanks in advance!

Sure, you can use the cooler. The use range for ATC refractometer is usually 68-86 so I doubt you will see much different between 68 and 77. Are you calibrating to 0 Brix? I would also suggest calibrating with a sugar solution up closer to the operating range. If you pick fruit outside at 104, bring it in the house for awhile to drop to the temperature range. If you are getting raisining, remember that your sugar may actually be higher due to sugar solids.
