Venting A Passive Cellar, Do I Need To Vent?

How about simple venting your cellar? Mine's under construction, a basement cellar 7x8, insulated and should stay passively cold. I'm not sure if this room need any vents. Any help appreciated.

If you have major damp issues or you are fermenting a few hundred pounds in there , otherwise you shouldn't need venting
Above all relax , it's winemaking ,it's not supposed to be stressfull . It's not sky diving.

According to the International Building Code, you wouldn't need ventilation unless you have an exposed earth floor (or one only covered with visqueen or the like) and it is "unconditioned" meaning no heat, cooling or other type of ventilation. So unless you're needing to use the ventilation to control the temperatures, then none would (or should) be installed. Insulate the interior walls well and leave any foundation walls that are backfilled with earth uninsulated and you should be in pretty good shape to maintain 55º to 60º year round.
