Here are the ones in our general rotation:
Iron Horse
Dutton Goldfield
Porter Creek
Marimar
Arista
J Vineyards
Freestone
We like cool climate, preferably natural, terroir-driven wines. Big ups to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Alsatian & Rhone varietals.
We are also looking for a good pizza place to eat at afterwards.
Thanks everyone!

First pizza, the best in Sonoma County is Rosso's Pizzaria in Santa Rosa, Skopa in Healdsburg, or Diavola in Geyserville. All 3 are full resterants with great food. Without a reservation you will not get into Skopa. Diavola will probably be busy too considering the event. Rosso's is probably easier to get into given a little further from the event and they don't take reservations. Also print some directions, its a little tricky.
Wineries - Too bad I am working an event at Passalacqua to help out my wife or I would say stop by my little operation. If paella and barrel tasting Zin works for you, stop by there. Not part of the major event but they are doing their own. Near there in Dry Creek is Quivira. They do Rhones and some interesting whites, the winemaker is a friend and the new releases (he made) are really good. Back around Sebastopol is Littoria. Amazing Pinot's and Chardonnay. I think you will need an appointment there so call ahead. Also Thomas George, Gary Farrel, Rochioli, Woodenhead, Hartford Court, are all RRV good places. Hit me with more questions if needed

Heading up to Russian River Valley this weekend with my lady-friend to pick up some wine at Dutton-Goldfield. We are always looking for new places in that area that make phenomenal wines. Was hoping that some of you will be able to give us a recommendation for someplace new.

Ferrari-Carano is up in Dry Creek and is a nice place to see. Wines are good but it is a circus. If you are going to make it up there, Unti Vineyards is a must. If you want to be blown away by Zinfandel, stop in to see Michael Talty at Talty Vineyards closer to Ferrari -Carano. Tell him hi from the Perrucci brothers. He is the one to blame for our addiction to winemaking!

Be aware that this coming weekend is the second weekend for Barrel Tasting Weekend. If any of those wineries are participating, avoid them as they will be closed to the public.
We were there last weekend. We decided last minute to do barrel tasting but it didn't seem that any of the wineries participating were closed to the public. They didn't turn us away when we stopped in for a tasting, they just would not let us taste from the barrel if we didn't pay for the barrel tasting.
I wish I lived closer to the Russian River, I would love to go there more often.
