I've stayed at this place a couple of times and have eaten at their restaurant many times. Their view is spectacular and is located next door to a world renowned amphitheater where headliners play all summer.

I hope it is bought by someone who can make a success out of it. It would be a big loss to our wine industry in the state!

Well, it's at auction, so I suspect its probably in foreclosure by someone.

I've not stayed there but have had a few friends stay there and while the accommodations were great, they charged and outrageous price for the rooms. I don't know how they survived this long. They put way more than $3.5 million into that place. For anyone that's not been to the Gorge amphitheater. Staying at Cave B would be great because you can walk there, but any other time of the year it's a very remote location with not a whole lot to go see or do. I wish them luck!

the $3.5M is the suggested starting bid, so if you are fast enough you might at least get your bid taken before the next person bids. This might also not even be the reserve price...

The auction is primarily for the hotel and spa -- that price doesn't include the winery. If the successful bidder wants the other parcels they can try to deal. The winery is run as a separate business from the hotel.
