I purchased an All In One Wine Pump at the end of summer after a few conversations with Steve, the creator. And I have to say, I am very happy with it.
Being an amateur winemaker it meets my purposes to the "t". I can use it to degas my wines, rack and bottle. It takes me just minutes to setup. You can even incorporate a filter to the setup, and I will be connecting mine this weekend as I do some bottling. If you are interested in using "hardware store" variety filters, Steve will be your guide.
Steve is just an email or phone call away and is available to answer questions you may have as you are using your All In One Wine Pump. He has been very open to any suggestions you may have and is always interested in your feedback.

Thanks for the review, Sara. I always like hearing opinions and experiences about various equipment and supplies, etc.

One thing that concerned me when I saw his Youtube video, is that the housing looked too small to hold a pump of any significance. It sounds like I was wrong, but I'd still like to see the "innards" of the thing.

I cannot show any photos due to copyright, and Steve's request, but you may consider contacting him...he may be able to assist you. I can rack 5 gallons of wine in a SNAP! I will have to time it one day. To degas---wham---and it is fun to watch, and kind of scary. I bottled 3 gallon (15 bottles) of Skeeter Pee the other day in around 30 minutes (it was the first time I had bottled at home, so I was at a learning curve & my teenager kept asking questions and playing with things.... but I thought that was fabulous time). Then I just corked them with my floor corker until my teen discovered another "toy"....I know what to have him do next time!
Like any vacuum system it is not recommended on Better Bottles...though I have been doing some research and suspect if I enlarge my "overflow" container from a 750ml to a 1gal jug, I may have adequate pressure-balance and be able to successfully vacuum rack TO a Better Bottle. If anyone has a method to be able to accomplish that, I would love to know. OR, I could spend $20 and buy a pressure adjust valve/gauge.
Oh, I did incorporate a household filter system (until I can afford bigger and better), it was a snap...and Steve gave me a great online resource that even my local hardware store was amazed at the prices. Cost me a whopping $1 to stop and grab the barbs I needed to connect the filter to 3/8" tubing...and my hardward store gave me 5ft of 3/8" tubing for FREE, just because!

I've had major back and neck surgery, so lugging and lifting is NOT an option for me....the All-in-One has made it an affordable option that enables me to make my winemaking easier and SAFER.

If anyone is in doubt, please contact Steve---he has a lot of positive feedback and customer service is #1---I think I even talked to one of his children when I called. :-)

Um....you own it you can post pictures. The copyright prevents you or me from stealing his idea and selling it but not showing your friends your cool new purchase. Of course you have every right to honor his request. Not trying to be a negative nellie but he is asking that pictures not be shown because it is exactly the same setup being used by all of the other vacuum rackers that have been set up garage wineries just in a fancy package.

Well, regardless of the reason, I won't post photos per Steve's request (and he is the one who mentions "due to copyright").
He does have photos on his website.

I am NOT mechanically inclined and I shopped and priced the components I would need to build my own, but by the time I could have done all that & then made sure I had it all...was mind-boggling to me. Steve's All-in-One just worked for me.

There is nothing wrong with those who can build their own, that is how it all gets started.

Kudos to Steve for developing something that sounds useful, but if he's concerned about someone seeing the insides of it or posting pictures of the inner workings on a forum, then that raises questions in my mind. For one, I have to wonder what a buyer is getting for their money. One can say, "Here's what it does and here's what it costs", and decide if that is a good value for them. And that's part of the free market system. The other part of the system is that one can decide not to buy that product until they've seen the insides and know what they're getting for their money.

You said you agreed to not post photos, and I see the value in your integrity. He may also have a wonderful value there, and great service. But it doesn't sit well with me when I get the impression that someone is trying to dissuade you from doing something perfectly legal, like opening up the box and taking pictures of the mechanism, etc. That alone, if that impression is accurate, is enough for me to choose not to buy one.

Well, my warranty is null and void if I break the integrity of the "box". No different then with laptops,etc. It is not up to me to post photos of what is available,etc. If anyone has questions about what is being sold then please contact the seller. It should be no different than contacting the seller if you have questions about an item you are considering purchasing online. He is easy to contact and has nothing to hide. I did my homework with Steve, I asked my questions. We communicated via email and on the phone.

I agree. I put mine together and spent a third that price, but I like to fiddle with things.....usually with reckless abandon.

If you don't want to build your own, it's not a terrible price. Though I would say to scour Craig's List for a while first.

Glad to hear you're happy with it, Sara!
I think some here have spent more than that to get the parts and assemble their own. The man deserves a profit. I hope he sells enough of them to make it worth his while.
