I have a Donato Rocila 200L stainless fermenter with a variable capaciry lid (obviously acquired used). The tank is in very good condition - but I would like to replace the seal on the lid, before I risk screwing up 30-50 gallons of wine...

Is there a US distributor for Rocila products? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most variable capacity stainless tanks are a standard size. Check with a place like More Wine Pro or Presque Isle. They either have them or can get them.

I purchased a 300L Donato Rocila from Presque Isle and they do sell replacement gaskets. Regardless of the manufacturer, sizing is based on the interior diameter in cm. of the tank. In the past year or so, Morewine has been offering a heavy duty white rubber gasket as a replacement. I like the Morewine gaskets; however, on 3 of my five tanks the clearance between the lid and the inside of the tank is insufficient to fit the white gasket they sell. It probably is not as big a deal because, I have found that most leaks occur between the stem and the pump. Someone here suggested adding a shutoff between the stem and the tubing and I find it extremely helpful.
