I bought a used Italian floor corker a couple of years ago and am just now getting around to asking this question...is there an adjustment for where the "insertion bar" hits the cork? It looks like the previous owner tried to bend the bar so it would hit the cork better, but I'm still having to wrench it a bit to get even on the edge of the cork. So I never get the dimple in the middle of the cork, it's always on the side (or actually towards the front when viewed in the corker). Is there any adjustment for this or should I just try to bend it more to get it hitting center?

Thanks for any insight.

Mine came with a slight bend in it. I think it's part of the design. It hits the cork slightly towards the front and is centered when finishing the insertion. I know of no adjustment for this other than to bend it.

On my (second) Portuguese Corker; the "insertion bar" or whatever you want to call it bends, changes angle while being used. As a result, I keep a hammer handy for making adjustments while bottling. I think that the weld that holds it in place is weak. I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to make adjustments to your corker.
