You also might want to put your location in your profile. It helps other locals to link up with you.

Did you find a wine making club near Livermore? I am in Pleasanton and have 40 Cabernet Vines in my back yard. It would be nice to work with people and trade ideas and share equipment.

Hey Matt.Hi MickiCab, I'm trying to join the Contra Costa Wine Group, that seems like the closest one around. I grew up in Pleasanton and my parents still live there, I agree it would be great to know some more people in this area making wine and be able to share ideas and equipment. I'm around if you would ever like to meet up.
Matt
Sounds good to me. You probably shop at the Good Brewer in Livermore for you supplies. That is the the only place around here that I know of.

I'm new here, but I suppose it is never too soon to help. I'm the founder of the Home Vintners Association (HVA) in the SF Bay Area. We have about 50 members between Hillsborough to Gilroy. Most of us are growers as well and wine makers. We are just entering our third year.
You can check us out at our web site at: https://sites.google.com/site/homevintners/
It is free to join. If you want to join you need to fill out the form at: https://sites.google.com/site/homevintners/Home/sign-up
Also, it would be great if you filled out the survey at: https://sites.google.com/site/homevintners/Home/survey
Our next event is on 20 Feb and you can see the event calendar when you join.
Although membership is free, all members are expected to host an event sooner or later. Most events have about 20 guests.
Hope to hear from you soon,

I took a look at your site - the discussion board only contained messages of a less than savoury nature. Hopefully it was all spam.

Thanks for the heads-up. We don't use the discussion page anymore, so I removed it. We hold our discussion via email. Once you become a member, you will have that access and can join in those discussions. Hope you had a chance to view some of our more wine focused pgs and we hope to have you as a new member!
