Since I've heard Wade invite new folks to the next meeting on September 11th, I guess that means the date is set. I don't know what grapes will be ready then or if we'll have harvested all by then. In any case, Sept. 11th is the day..

This will be a Saturday afternoon bring whatever you feel like bringing day. We'll start in the early afternoon, and we'll have the barbecue available (possibly full of something, not sure what we're going to be up to). No need to bring a thing but yourselves unless you feel like it.

See you then!

OOOPS. We've got to get Wade a replacement computer! I just posted as him. sorry.

One very big note of interest: We will be opening a bottle of Gregorio's Wine from Perrucci Family Vineyards!!!!!!!!!! Can't put enough exclamation points after that!!!!!!! We have 2 to choose from, not sure which it will be. It will be either an '04 Merlot or an '06 Sangiovese. Anybody want to vote on which? Maybe we should set a specific time that we'll open it, so everybody's fore-warned, be late and we'll just tell you how great it was! :)
I really look forward to this bottle of wine and am only considering sharing it with the whole group so we can all say we've tasted Gregorio's Wine! (I'd say that's an honor, Folks, it's meant that way. We consider you all friends at this point and I'm willing to share the best with friends!)
We had a bottle of his Cabernet Sauvignon and I believe it was the best wine I ever tasted! I'm sure the other two bottles will be equally as good!
(Only opening one!!! :) )

Dave I hope Barb is feeling much better.

I regret to tell you all that the get together will not be a normal get together. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be unavailable that weekend. I am uncertain what Wade's plans are, so I'll let him speak for himself about how he will proceed or not with the plans for the meeting/get together.
Peace, laughter, and fun. Wade helps me not be so serious! Love is like walking barefoot through a field of flowers.
With Wade.

Hi Everybody,
Family stuff has come up, and we don't know when we'll be able to get together again, but 9/11 won't work so we're calling it off. Sorry, but that's what needs to happen right now. Can't really give any details now.
Scott, I'll still be home on the 4th, so come on down and use the equipment.
Not sure when I'll be able to post again, so if you need to reach me, call me. 931-629-4080
Thanks and sorry again.

Well, I confirmed today that I will be working on the 11th so this works for us. I hope all is OK with your family Wade & Paula.

Tammie & I will be interested in hosting maybe October?? weather permitting?? any intrest in coming up to the highlands. I know its a long drive so we wont be offended if its too far.

Did we ever decide on a name? I didnt see anything??

We will be very busy for the next 3 weeks so I wont get to check in much.

Refferred a user from that other website to this thread who is a TN resident interested in our get togethers.
Gonna try to drink the rest of my skeeter pee over the holiday weekend and plan next years batch. Still harvesting muscadines.
Till the next time!
This is too good.....

Hi all. John R told me about your group in this area. Not sure I'll be able to make all your meetings, but good to know like-minded folks in mid-Tennessee. I live in the Columbia area, close to Hampshire.

Just joined this site a few weeks ago, but have been making wine for about 10 years now. Started with kits, but now make mostly fruit wines from my yard. Starting my annual fall batch of blackberry from homegrown fruit tomorrow.

The weekend of the 11th my wife and I are in Chattanooga visiting my son (at UTC). Will have to attend a later meeting.
