At the moment I am looking at the 1000L Marchisio VC tank from Gino Pinto. I have had good luck dealing with these people in the past. Particularly with regards to shipping costs. But I know nothing of Marchisio and am wondering if any of you know of any issues. Gino Pinto is asking $1130 for this tank - not a bad price for a 256 gal VC.

I have 300L Marchisio's and, of the VCT's I have (all Italian), these are the most well built. My typical advice/concern is with the thickness of a tanks wall and to make sure you have the proper fittings you want (or may want). The first 400L I purchased was made out a thin gauge of SS. I move my tanks around for storage and cleaning. It was easily dented and I soon sold it. The fittings qustions came when I standardized with TC fittings. It is difficult to weld to thin material as the metal can get too hot. I assume a 1000L tank will require better structure, just for its size, and is geared more to small wineries than my smaller hobby range tanks.
Hope this helps,
