This is a little over a quart of elderberries. It took me about an hour and a half to clean these. A quart of elderberries weighs approximately 2 lbs. In the past week I’ve picked and cleaned forty pounds of these little things off of six of my bushes and they are still loaded with berries that still aren’t ready. I’ve got three more bushed whose berries haven’t ripened; they’re in a shady spot. Elderberries are much easier to grow than grapes but a lot harder to harvest.

Mine are just starting to get a little color. No idea what variety they are. somebody brought fresh dug plants to the Produce Auction a few years ago and I got them!

Nice bowl, we have another thread going on the easiest way we found yet to pick elderberries, we can get 2 gallons of nice clean berries in about 30 minutes easy. Crackedcork
