I know its a long way from pruning time, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could purchase some cuttings of Tom Plocher's new varietal, Black Pearl. If anyone has rooted vines of this grape they would be willing to sell currently, I would be interested. Thanks.

I am rooting some cuttings of an old variety, Black Pearl, developed in 1883 by Caspar Schraidt of Put-in-Bay ohio. Any connection?

Is there any chance you might mean "Petite Pearl"? I ordered some from NE Vine Supply for this Spring.

There are only two sources I know of for Petite Pearl. One is Bevens Creek Nursery: http://petitepearlgrape.com/ They were sold out early this year. The only other is NE Vine Supply, where I got mine: https://www.nevinesu...edwinevines.php

I hope this helps. The numbers look good for this variety.
