I've been a home brewer of beer and mead for many years now. Over the years, my tastes have tended away from beer, and towards wine, so I'm now brewing wine (from kits) almost exclusively.
There is a fairly large and active Homebrew Club, The Liquid Poets (http://www.liquidpoets.com/index.php) in Fort Collins. It's affiliated with the American Homebrew Assoication, which focuses it's efforts on Beer and Mead making. Grape wine making is not really covered by AHA or this club.
I went to the AHA "Big Brew" event earlier this month, and ran into a lot of folks, had some great beer, and some really interesting (and good!) Meads. (There was this one beet mead you wouldn't believe!) Given how much wine making and other home brewing have in common, I thought about approaching the Liquid Poets about adding a "Grape Wine" section to the club.

Hey Ray, good to see another wine maker in the fort, let me know if the poets expand their horizons to include the world of wines, I had heard they were mainly beer and mead and were doing some cool stuff, but it wasn't quite what I'm interested in. I'm actually heading down to berthoud tomorrow to grab some frontenac vines, if you want some clippings I should be able to pull some by fall.

Hi, Ray. I'm not that far away, in Benkelman, Nebraska. I wouldn't want to make the commute often, but I'd drive over to meet some other wine makers. If you hear of a group nearby, let me know. -Bret

I live in the Denver / Boulder area and would be most interested in getting together with fellow wine makers.
