CrazyOne - A few words of encouragement. Just keep looking for other wine makers in your area. It took a couple years to meet other wine makers in my area and then another year or so to organize a club. Now that we have the members seem to be climbing out from under all kinds of rocks. One of the first things people say is, "I thought I was the only one around here to make wine."

You might check with wine supply stores in your area or even further out to see if they have customers close to you. Also check at wine stores.

The couple that I bought must of my wine making supplies from, have the store out of their house..lol. They told me they getting ready to close down. No business. I asked them if they knew of one or a club and they told me the samething, Good luck..lol.
I found a web site of a used to be club, they are no longer a club. No one here seems to have the money for it anymore.
I e-mailed another club, they are about 9 hours away, asking for some help in finding a club. We will see what they have to say.

Thank you for your encouragement! I'm greateful.

Thier is brewers in Idaho Falls!!
If your making beer that is.
Finally after 25 e-mails, 10 long and short distant phones and countless reading of web sites. I found one club! And it is kinda sad that they only deal with beer only. I may join the club owner has told me, I may set and listen to their beer talks. But not a dang thing that has to do with wine or mead. The owner, Matthew Slatosky (theslats@gmail.com), seems to be an alright man too.
Don't get my wrong to each their own drink, I just wanted to talk about some wine and mead is all.

With that all you Idaho Falls beer drinkers and markers, here's your club!

Hello,

I agree with Marty that finding wine supply stores -- or even finding locally owned wine retailers (or wineries) might be a good way to find other interested winemaking folks. Frankly, I am surprised that you are the first person I've seen post from Idaho.

You might want to include your location in Idaho...since it is such a large state. I used to live in Moscow and if you are from those parts or the Boise area there ought to be a bunch of interested people around.

If I were back there again, I definitely would be heading off to Walla Walla or even around Nampa area (or even the tri-cities, in WA) to nail down some great grapes.

Good luck!
